Tool #11

For our very young children teaching technology good citizenship will be a daily lesson using modeling and good reminders.
The most important idea I would like the children to begin to learn is that nothing on the internet is ever private! This idea will carry through to adulthood with them.
The second idea would be about politeness. If they are at an IPod or the Netbooks, they should talk with their friends in a polite manner and help each other. These seem to be soooo basic, but it is what our little people need.
The last idea is that the children only do what their teacher instructs them to do and not to go exploring.
I truly believe the rules and citizenship is different for our children and we are just learning how to deal with them using all these new and exciting tools.

  1. I am in agreement with the comments you made. I most liked the one you made about children needing to know that nothing on the internet is private. Children need to know this at an early age so they won't get into trouble when they are older.
